Halifax -- Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) and the Atlantic Academic Union (AAU) signed collective agreements on behalf of Faculty and Professional Support (PS) colleagues.
Together, the College and the Union were able to advance 45 articles that were related to shared priorities in the working and learning environment. The agreements are effective from September 1, 2023 to August 31, 2026.
AAU President Barbara Gillis said, "The AAU is very appreciative of the engagement, support and input of the membership during this negotiation process."
Highlights of the 3-year agreements include:
"These agreements represent tremendous progress that will benefit our valued faculty and professional support staff, our students and the full College community,” said NSCC President Don Bureaux. “We remain grateful for the work of both bargaining teams who worked tirelessly to advance our shared priorities, and to our community for their support of the collective bargaining process."
The College is now focused on implementing the collective agreement
